Mason's Birth Story

Whoo! What a whirlwind! There is so much to unpack in my blog. For starters, my pregnancy went by so fast this time around. Before I knew it, our baby boy Mason joined our little family. Since than, life hasn't been the same. Things have gotten very busy since we became a family of 4. (A good kind of busy of course.) Hence, why I am so behind on telling Mason's birth story. Between taking care of 2 kiddos, families visiting, Halloween, birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the new year, it has been a wild ride!  Better late than never I guess. Let's dive in to Mason's birth story: It was October 7th. I was 4 days past my due date. My mom was already in town helping us out for over a week. (Last time, she came the day Autumn was born.) This time, she had a good amount of time to adjust to things before our baby was born. I started feeling contractions that afternoon. Third Trimester Pregnancy Update

You heard right folks! I am officially full term and coming down towards the tail end of this pregnancy. Boy what a ride it has been. They are right when they say your pregnancy goes by faster the more kids you have. Autumn keeps me busy everyday so that's probably why. In the beginning of the this trimester, I took a glucose test to see if I had gestational diabetes. With Autumn, I didn't pass the 1 hour test, but passed the 3 hour test. This time around, I passed the 1 hour test! I was so happy I passed, because I didn't need anymore health issues with this pregnancy.  We should have all the necessities that we need for a baby. The nursery is mostly put together. Autumn and the baby will share a room. A half the room will be girl decor and the other half will be boy decor. We also got a new bed for Autumn. The baby will use her old crib. We just got our double stroller and car seat is installed. We also have a bunch of baby stuff that we will reuse. Lastly, I'd say th...

Second Trimester Pregnancy Update

That's right, folks! I have officially hit the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy. It's crazy how time seems to go faster with your second child. I guess that's what happens when you are constantly chasing around an active toddler. It feels like only yesterday we found out we were pregnant. Now we are only 3 months away from bringing our baby into the world. We found out the gender of the baby a few months ago. It's a boy!!! With this pregnancy, we kept going back and forth with both genders. All along, my instincts were telling that it was a boy. Collin guessed boy too. Sure enough, we were both right! We are so happy and thrilled to have one of each. It will be fun to experience raising both a girl and a boy. More importantly, our baby is healthy and growing well inside me. The most common questions I get is how I'm feeling. I have felt less nausea throughout the second trimester. The first trimester was tough because I was constantly nauseous and threw up a couple...
